FIRE MARSHAL

Chief Scott Marion serves as the Emergency Management Coordinator and Fire Marshal for San Patricio County, bringing extensive experience, leadership, and advanced professional training to both roles. He holds a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences (BAAS) and maintains multiple state and national certifications, including Fire Service Chief Executive Officer (FSCEO), Certified Fire Executive (CFE), International Society of Fire Service Instructors (ISFSI) Credentialed Training Officer (CTO), Texas Emergency Manager (TEM), and IAAI Fire Inspector/Investigator Technician (IAAI-FIT). 

     Scott serves on the State Firefighters and Fire Marshals Association (SFFMA) District Board and is also now the Training Chief and SFFMA coordinator for the Ingleside Volunteer Fire Department. 

Volunteer firefighters conduct live burn training in Sinton during a controlled structure fire.

OUR PURPOSE

What We Do

As authorized by State Law and under the direction of the Fire Marshal, the San Patricio County Fire Marshal’s Office is responsible for fire prevention, education, control and investigation in the unincorporated areas of San Patricio County. The Department also assists local municipalities when requested by their government representatives.
